Prom was nothing less than amazing and Joanna was nothing less than perfect.
That little story named PROM 2004 went a little something like this:
Everyone in my group showed up at the Alameddine twins' house at 4ish. I arrived in my retro-modern white tuxedo and powder blue vest. Joanna arrived with her mom. Oh My God, Joanna was gorgeous. She wore a baby blue strapless dress. We couldn't have color coordinated any better. Allie Custer passed out her fun lil' Prom bags to all the ladies. The whole group took pics in the back yard as well as the front yard. We were all graced with Mrs. Mi's "ok, my turn."
Everyone carpooled to school for the couple pictures. Joanna and I rode with Jenny and Kinjal, in his car. That was a fun race race to school against Andy Dinh and his carpool crew. Naturally, we won... Pictures, Pictures, and more pictures at school. Joanna and I did the hug-from-behind pose. Mrs. Mi seemed to have forgotten her keys for the house, so she met us at the school to get Joanna's house key. Luckily she was there, because we needed a parent to sign for the limo.
We found our White Excursion Limo in the parking lot and proceeded with the Terms and Conditions shpiel. We hopped in and went directly to the Regatta Grill, in the Marriott of Dana Point, for dinner. The restaurant arranged for us to be in the private guest room in the middle of the restaurant. It was PERFECT. The table was HUGE, and it had to be to accomodate 19 people. We picked up our name cards and placed them in front of our seats (we had name cards because we were required to pre-order our meals). While waiting for the food, we played around with the cherries and played the game called "look at Jay's tongue." The meal came, slightly later than I had expected. The food WAS good. 8 o'clock rolled around and we hopped back in the limo with a few bottles of soda from the restaurant.
After a fairly quick drive, we were at the Ocean Institute -PROM. While waiting in line, the ladies held the guys' gum in they're cleavage before we were frisked and checked. I was greatful...gum is pretty much a part of me. We checked in the unnecesary items at the coat check and went straight to the group pics in the aquarium. The funniest looking lil' sand rays were in one of the tanks. Then, WE DANCED like mad children with A.D.D. Oh, and it was fun seeing shant get his groove on. When the long awaited for dance was over, we dragged our sweaty bodies back into the limo and drove to Peralta Park to waste time. we enjoyed bringing out the little kids inside us to play on the slides and swings.
Just when we thought it was all over, a few of us went to Abe's house. We mixed with another group there and joined in controversial conversation and kareoke. Joanna and I chilled there until about 4am. Shant offered to take us both home, and he did. In the car, Joanna played with the condom that came in the "Prom Bag" that Allie Custer gave. I got to bed around 4:40am. PROM WAS AWESOME.
Joanna, thank you for being the perfect date. You were amazing and I can't even begin to explain how great a night you made Prom for me. I couldn't have begged for a better date, cuz that is just impossible. I only hope that you had as good a time as I did.

It's been quite a while and I ....so here's a brief update:
Not only am I going to Prom with Joanna Mi, but I am officially her boyfriend. For all of those that were wondering, still, there's you're answer. I officially asked her on May 1st.
I'm am simply too happy to be yours, Joanna. It's good to know that the feeling is mutual.
Well, that's the update... simple and clean

So, today I asked Joanna to Prom. At lunch I sang a song, joe played the guitar, and I gave her a rose. This was my song:
Verse 1
I wanna make you smile
Whenever you're sad
I’ll make you laugh
When you’re not feeling glad
All I wanna do is
Go to Prom with you.
Verse 2
You can get a dress
Whatever it takes.
I’ll get a tux
And buy whatever they make
It could be so nice
Going to Prom with you.
Chorus
I'll hug you
‘hold you
Give you my coat when you are cold
Need you
Feed you
Even let you be the person in control
Verse 3
I’ll buy you flowers
In red, white, or pink
‘give you two arms
When you've danced too hard to think
I could be the man who
Goes to Prom with you
Joanna, I wanna go to Prom with you
